JRD Returns to Victory Lane with First Feature Win of 2026

The Bingo Country, Jackpot Time No. 28 team put together a dominant night at Delaware Speedway on Friday, September 11, turning a strong race car into the team's first feature victory of the 2026 season.
The night got off to a great start, with the JRD crew unloading an excellent race car after a productive week back at the JRD shop. The No. 28 was 3rd fastest in opening practice before the team made several successful adjustments, moving up to 2nd fastest in the second session.
Starting 5th in the heat race, Ryan Dyson wasted little time working through the field. The No. 28 quickly moved into the lead and never looked back, earning its second consecutive heat race victory.
The 50-lap feature saw the No. 28 roll off 5th, and once again, Dyson was on the move immediately. Within just a few laps, the No. 28 had climbed into 2nd.
From there, Ryan settled into a long battle with the leader in a race that ran completely caution-free. Several attempts were made to challenge for the top spot, but each time the No. 28 reached the leader's rear bumper, the car would wash out and lose momentum.
Rather than force the issue, Dyson managed the gap behind him while carefully taking care of the tires and waiting for an opportunity.
That opportunity came with just 11 laps remaining.
Using a lapped car as a pick, Dyson made an incredible three-wide move down the front straightaway to take control of the race. Once the No. 28 cleared the traffic and moved into the lead, there was no looking back.
Ryan opened up a 1.7-second advantage over the final 10 laps and drove the Bingo Country, Jackpot Time No. 28 to its first feature victory of the 2026 season.
"It feels incredible," said Ryan Dyson. "The guys gave me such a good car tonight, and we knew we had the speed after practice. I tried a few times to get by the leader and just couldn't make it happen because the car would wash out when I got to his bumper. I knew I had to be patient and take care of the tires, and eventually the opportunity came. That three-wide move was a big one, but once we got the lead, the car was really good and we were able to pull away."
The victory comes just one week after the team rebounded from a major crash with a heat race win and 5th-place feature finish. Now, after two consecutive heat victories, the No. 28 has completed the comeback by returning to Victory Lane in feature competition.
