JRD Motorsports and the Bingo Country, Jackpot Time #28 team continued their impressive start to the 2026 season Friday night with a third consecutive podium finish during Delaware Speedway's Canada Day Weekend event.
The team unloaded with another fast race car and quickly showed the speed that has become a trademark through the opening weeks of the season, ending practice with the fastest overall time.
Starting in the heat race, Ryan Dyson once again put on an impressive drive through the field, making several passes to move toward the front after starting in the 7th position. However, a surprise appearance from the sun changed track conditions significantly compared to practice, leaving the No. 28 battling a loose race car for the race. Despite the handling challenges, the team still secured a strong 2nd place finish.
Following the heat race, the Delaware Speedway format placed the No. 28 ninth on the starting grid for the 35-lap feature event.
When the green flag dropped, Dyson methodically worked his way through traffic, picking off competitors one by one as the race progressed. By the time the No. 28 reached 3rd place, the leaders had stretched their advantage to more than 7.5 seconds.
With just 15 laps remaining, Dyson and the JRD Motorsports team mounted an impressive charge. Turning some of the fastest laps on the speedway, the No. 28 steadily reeled in the lead duo, trimming the deficit from more than 7.5 seconds to just 4.4 seconds by the checkered flag.
While another podium finish was a strong result, the team's late-race speed provided even more encouragement heading into the next event
"Our car was really good all night," said driver Ryan Dyson. "Once we got into clean air, we were able to make up a lot of ground on the leaders. It's another podium for this team, And one step closer to the goal of a championship, the wins will come too."
The third consecutive podium finish allows JRD Motorsports to continue building momentum as the championship battle heats up.
The team returns to Delaware Speedway on Friday, July 3, looking to continue its podium streak and challenge for its first victory of the 2026 season.
JRD Motorsports would like to thank Bingo Country, Jackpot Time, Velocity Race Cars, all team partners, crew members, family, and fans for their continued support.
